These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application ("App") and related services. By accessing or using U-Crew, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.


1. Acceptance of Terms — End User License Agreement (EULA)

By creating an account or using U-Crew, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 16 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction).
  • You provide accurate information and keep it updated.
  • You will not misuse the App for illegal or unauthorised purposes.
  • You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by ALL provisions of these Terms, including our ZERO-TOLERANCE policy on objectionable content and abusive behaviour.
  • You understand that ANY violation of these Terms, particularly regarding harassment, bullying, or objectionable content, will result in IMMEDIATE and PERMANENT account termination.

2. Account Registration & Security

A. Account Creation

You may sign up via email, Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), or Apple. You are responsible for maintaining confidential login credentials.

B. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use fake identities or impersonate others.
  • Share your account with third parties.
  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or illegal activities.

2A. Zero-Tolerance Policy on Objectionable Content and Abusive Behaviour

By using our platform, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:

  • ABSOLUTELY NO BULLYING OR HARASSMENT — any form of bullying, harassment, intimidation, threatening behaviour, stalking, cyberbullying, or targeted abuse of any user is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in IMMEDIATE and PERMANENT account termination without warning or opportunity for appeal.
  • NO OBJECTIONABLE CONTENT — posting, sharing, transmitting, or creating content that is offensive, discriminatory, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, pornographic, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN and will result in immediate action.
  • NO ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR — this includes but is not limited to hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, religious intolerance, or ANY discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
  • NO PREDATORY BEHAVIOUR — any behaviour that targets, grooms, or exploits vulnerable users, particularly minors, is absolutely prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement.

Violations will result in:

  • Immediate and permanent account termination.
  • Complete removal of all user content.
  • Ban on creating new accounts.
  • Reporting to relevant law enforcement authorities.
  • Potential civil and criminal prosecution.

Decisions regarding violations of this zero-tolerance policy are FINAL and NOT subject to appeal. We WILL report serious violations to relevant authorities, including law enforcement, employers, professional maritime and aviation bodies, and regulatory agencies.

Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) Policy

All users must comply with our comprehensive Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) policy, available at https://u-crew.co.uk/app/csae.

Any content, communication, or behaviour that violates our CSAE policy will result in:

  • Immediate account termination.
  • Preservation of all evidence.
  • Mandatory reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
  • Reporting to local and international law enforcement.
  • Full cooperation with any resulting investigations.

3. Psychometric Profiling & Data Use

U-Crew analyses your in-app behaviour and CV content to generate personality and aptitude insights. You control whether employers view your personality and aptitude insights (opt-in required). Anonymised data may be used for research or industry trends (see Privacy Policy).

4. Employer Matching & User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of your profile.
  • Interactions with employers (we do not guarantee job offers).

5. Intellectual Property

U-Crew owns all App content, logos, and software. You retain rights to your profile data but grant us a licence to process it. Do not reproduce, sell, or reverse-engineer U-Crew's technology.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features — including your full energy report — require a paid subscription ("U-Crew Pro"), offered as an auto-renewable subscription on a monthly or yearly basis. The price and length of each plan are shown in the app before you purchase.

Billing through Apple

U-Crew Pro is sold through the Apple App Store and billed to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. U-Crew Ltd does not receive or store your payment card details — Apple processes all payments.

Auto-Renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Managing & Cancelling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep U-Crew Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple, and refunds are subject to Apple's App Store refund policy. We are unable to issue refunds directly for App Store purchases.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. Where required, we will notify you in advance, and any increase will not take effect until your next renewal after the notice — you can cancel before then.

Changes to U-Crew Pro

We may add, change, or remove features included in U-Crew Pro over time. We will not materially reduce the core benefits you are paying for during a period you have already paid for without offering you a way to cancel.

7. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms.
  • Engage in fraud or harmful behaviour.
  • Attempt to exploit the App's systems.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

U-Crew provides the App "as is" — we do not guarantee:

  • Job placements or employer matches.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free service.

We are not liable for:

  • User misconduct (e.g., employer misrepresentation).
  • Indirect damages (e.g., lost opportunities).

9. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration (no class actions).

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and will notify users via email or in-app alerts. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
